Uranus is the blandest-appearing planet as revealed visually by space probes.

No person has ever 'explored' any planet, besides Earth. Several people have been to the moon. Unmanned vehicles have been to Mars. Mankind has only 'explored' other planets visually.
Ceres is the largest of the asteroids, in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Originally, astronomers thought it was the "missing planet" between Mars and Jupiter, but more observations revealed that there were a great many objects in that region. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union defined a "planet" for the first time, and came up with a definition of "dwarf planet" that included Pluto and Ceres. With conventional rocket engines, it would take about 3 years to reach Ceres.
Saturn, of course, is famous for its ring system. However, recent space probes have revealed that all of the outer planets have rings, no matter how faint they are That means that Earth is the largest planet without a ring system. And if we count the thousand or so satellites in orbit as "rings", then I guess Venus would be next.
Because the majority of Jupiter's volume is its dense gaseous atmosphere, the planet has a "striped" appearance, the various latitudes appearing gray, brown and orange. Clouds circle the planet at very high speeds, up to 360 km/hr, and white "storms" spin off intermittently. The largest of these storms is a long-lived "red spot" as big as Earth. Barely a point of light without a telescope, the planet Jupiter looks golden-brownish through an amateur telescope.
The blandest appearing planet was originally Pluto. Since Pluto is no longer a planet, Mars is thought of as the blandest appearing planet.

It is the planet Venus appearing in the sky in the evening.
The red planet - is a name commonly given to the planet Mars.... due to it's colour appearing as red/orange when viewed through a telescope.
Obi Wan Kenobi's home planet is unknown as it is never revealed.
Wherever you are, an evening setting planet is probably Venus. It is usually conspicuously bright, appearing as one of the first stars.

Mercury was discovered visually by looking at the sky shortly before sunrise or shortly after sunset. It was discovered in antiquity.
