All three Apollo astronauts were aboard for several orbits, but Michael Collins remained aboard the command module when the Lunar Module descended to the Moon.
Technically Apollo 2 was the first flight of the Apollo Missions, however i was only a test flight with no humans and never left Earths orbit. Apollo 7 was the first manned Apollo mission but they never left Earths orbit either. The first Apollo mission to actually orbit the moon was the crew of Apollo 8 (Lovell, Anders and Borman). If you mean by first Apollo flight that landed on the moon then Apollo 11 is the mission with Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins.
Hard to believe I only have 6 trust points!!!
The first manned space flight took place in 1961, when Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin orbited the Earth aboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft.
space To expand a little on the above, Ms. Tereshkova orbited the earth 48 times during her space flight in 1963. She was the first woman to explore outer space.
John Glenn orbited the earth, the first American to do so. He was forty at the time.
On February 20, 1962, NASA astronaut John Glenn flew the Friendship 7 mission becoming the third American in space and the first American to orbit the Earth circling the earth three times. His flight lifted off at Cape Canaveral, Florida and lasted a total of 4 hours, 55 minutes before the Friendship 7 spacecraft splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean.

It was Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space. He orbited the Earth once during a 108 minute flight on 12 April 1961.
it was done on year 1964

The first human to have orbited the earth was Yuri Gagarin.
April 12, 1961, which is now known as Cosmonaut's Day. Yuri Gagarin orbited the earth once, in a flight which took about 90 minutes. This made him the first human in space, and the first human to orbit the earth.
No animal has orbited the moon other than man. Dogs and monkeys have orbited the earth.
He wasn't. Yuri Gagarin orbited the earth - once - in 1961, a year before Glenn's flight.

She was the first woman in space, took pictures of the horizon : Although Tereshkova experienced nausea and physical discomfort for much of the flight,[4] she orbited the earth 48 times and spent almost three days in space. With a single flight, she logged more flight time than the combined times of all American astronauts who had flown before that date. Tereshkova also maintained a flight log and took photographs of the horizon, which were later used to identify aerosol layers within the atmosphere. That was from Wikipedia.
