The V-2 rocket was the first ballistic missile. There was nobody on this rocket.
The first rocket sent into space was called V-2, which was launched by Germany in 1944.
The V2 sub-orbital ballistic vehicle was developed and constructed by Hitler's team of rocket scientists, headed by Dr. Werner von Braun and working at the Peenemünde complex in Germany.
3 stages
The development of the German V-2 rocket began in the early 1930s, with significant advancements occurring during World War II. The first successful test flight took place in 1944, marking about a decade of research and development. Mass production began shortly after, with the goal of deploying the rocket as a weapon. Overall, from initial conception to operational use, the V-2 project spanned roughly 10 to 12 years.
The first rocket to reach space was the German V2 in the 1940s. The first spacecraft to achieve orbit was the Soviet Sputnik, launched in 1957.
It did not.
it was unmanned
A4 was the German v2
Werner von Braun
It was apparently around 5,760 km/h.
the v1 and v2 were German rockets and i asume they stand for something German (the "v" i mean). Because of the places they were made and what they were made out of. They, although stand for nothing, were covert-ops type missiles designed mainly for clearing out garrisons and launching sneak attacks.
Specific to WW2: blitz (from German blitzkrieg) doodlebug (V2) flak
A V2 German rocket/bomb reached low-earth-orbit in tests in 1942(In another answer to a similar question, the same contributor writes:"They say that a V2 German rocket/bomb reached low-earth-orbit . . . . . " etc.So I'd be careful about taking this information to the bank, at least until I knowwho "they" is.)
HISTORIA AUGUSTA V2. has written: 'HISTORIA AUGUSTA V2'
v4 - 9v2

If you mean the first to reach space, they say that a V2 German rocket reached Low-earth-orbit during testing in 1942.
