No one has been back to check, so the question itself appears to be flawed. Most probably, any photos showing them as white have been doctored ("Photoshopped") to remove the colors -that way they are not identifiable as US flags. One supposes there is a slim possibility that this has could be done by solar radiation, but I do not know enough about the "facts" to adequately comment. The needed facts would include the flag materials, including dyes, the construction, and any experimental data available for analogous conditions such as exist outside space stations in high orbits.
As of now, there are six American flags on the Moon. However, they are all white now due to atmospheric pressure. Think about leaving something in the sun, it will fade. On the moon, it occurs at a much faster rate.
There are six American flags on the moon, all of which were planted during the Apollo missions between 1969 and 1972. Over time, exposure to the harsh lunar environment has caused the flags to fade and deteriorate.

they make it by taking the leather from different things and then they get a stick and they attach the leather to the stick and some flags are made different like the American flag is made different from the Jamaican flag. And the Barbados flag has the colors of blue yellow and white the American have red white and blue the Jamaican have black white and yellow the Guyana flag has the colors of red white and green and that the making of flags and the colors of all the flags but st Vincent have the colors of yellow blue and green. then that's all of the flags of the united States and that's how the people of America and other city states live altogether and happy.
