There are two types of modern bulbs, CFL and LED and they are available in various wattages. While more expensive initially, there is tremendous energy savings over the extended life span.
Because its father away than the rest.
Stars appear dimmer than others due to factors such as distance from Earth, size, age, and intrinsic brightness. Stars that are farther away will appear dimmer, as less light reaches us. Similarly, smaller or older stars may be dimmer because they produce less light compared to younger, larger stars.
Because some are larger than others and some are closer than others.
Our sun is about average compared to other stars. Some are much smaller (white dwarfs) and others are much larger.
Stars can be both cooler and brighter or hotter and dimmer than the Sun, depending on their size and age. Generally, larger and younger stars are hotter and brighter than the Sun, while smaller and older stars can be cooler and dimmer.

The Sun is bigger than some stars and smaller than others. It is brighter than some stars and dimmer than others. Relative to the Earth it is much closer than all other stars.
You cannot use most fluorescent lights with a dimmer. Just about any incandescent bulb WILL work with a dimmer. Occasionally, when a halogen bulb burns out, it will destroy a dimmer switch but halogen bulbs are considered incandescent and other than that little problem they work well with a dimmer.
Some bulbs are more efficient than others because they use technology that converts more electricity into light rather than heat. For example, LED bulbs are more efficient than incandescent bulbs because they produce light through a process that emits less heat. Additionally, energy-saving bulbs like CFLs use less electricity to produce the same amount of light as traditional incandescent bulbs, making them more energy efficient.
Some energy-efficient options for upgrading living room lights include LED light bulbs, dimmer switches, and motion sensors. LED bulbs use less energy and last longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. Dimmer switches allow you to adjust the brightness of the lights to save energy. Motion sensors can automatically turn off lights when no one is in the room, reducing energy waste.
When light bulbs are connected in series circuits, they will get dimmer whenever a bulb is added. This is because the current is shared between all of the bulbs equally.AnswerLamps only operate at their rated power when subjected to their rated voltage. If you connect lamps in series, each lamp will be subject to a lower voltage, so they will not operate at their rated power and, so, will be dimmer. The more powerful lamps will actually glow less than the less-powerful lamps because their resistance is lower and the voltage drop across them will also be lower than the voltage drop across the less powerful lamps.
this depends on 1. whether the extra bulbs are being connected in parallel circuit or in series with each other, and 2. the power rating of the battery. supposing the battery power rating is greater than all the individual bulbs put together, the bulbs will glow the same maximum intensity if they are connected in parallel, and will become dimmer if connected end to end i.e in series.
Fluorescent bulbs can't be dimmed. It takes a certain amount of electricity to get them to come on. Probably about half way on the switch. As long as it has that much it should light. The switch however doesn't like it and will burn out quicker than with regular bulbs. The bulb doesn't care, it is either lit or not. Thanks. I just went ahead and installed a standard light switch. Everything is working fine and energy efficient. ~ CheeseKing
sounds like a poor ground.
Proxima Centauri appears dimmer than Betelgeuse because it actually is dimmer by several orders of magnitude.
