Why can't we colonize the moon?

There are many reasons the first of which is that it isn't really possible with the technology we have now. The moon doesn't have an atmosphere so it doesn't have any air for us to breath, so we would have to create some type of artificial atmosphere to keep the air that would have to be brought to the moon from floating away. The cost of getting everything from buildings and supplies to the people on the moon in the first place would also be a major concern as supplies would have to be continuously brought up and no country has that kind of money to spend. Another issue would be finding people who would willingly go to the moon when chance of survival would be slim.
