One half of the moon, the side that faces the Sun, is always lighted. But we usually see only part of the lighted side (phases) as the Moon orbits the Earth. When the Moon is directly between the Earth and the Sun (a new moon) none of the lighted side, facing the Sun, is visible from Earth.
A2. The Moon keeps one side locked towards Earth. Thus whether it were illuminated or not, we can never see the far side of the Moon.Incidentally, there is a marvellous movie of the complete Lunar cycle under Moon/Tidal effects in Wikipedia.A1. The sun casts a light on one side of the moon and the other side is a dark shadow. So if there is a half moon, for example, from earth, we can see half of the lighted side and half of the dark side, which makes it look like the moon is cut in half. Since the Earth rotates, we can see a different side every night, and that's how we can see more or less of the lighted side of the moon. For a new moon, Earth can see the whole dark side and none of the lighted side. For a full moon, Earth can see the whole lighted side and none of the dark side.
Single staged rockets are easier to make, but cant reach high speeds. Multi staged rockets can be much lighter but create more space debris and are much more complex.
An eclipseWhen the Moon's shadow hits the Earth, it blocks out the Sun and we have a solar eclipse. (since the sun appears to be 'eclipsed').When the Earth's shadow hits the Moon, the Moon goes dark and we have a lunar eclipse. (since the moon appears to be eclipsed). For either kind, whether it is a partial or total eclipse depends on how precise the alignment of the Sun, Moon and Earth are. Also, phases of moon are caused by changes in the relative position of the moon, Earth and the sun. The phase of the moon you see depends on how much of the sunlight side of the moon faces earth.
July 20th 1969 by niel Armstrong, and bla bla bla, i don't know about the others, i need to do it 4 a project but i cant because the web doesnt show these answers and im starting to get mad... u would think that the internet would show this question, BUT IT DOESENT!!! i promised i wouldn't get mad so... bi! ~Selena Gomez!
THe moon is around the earth ad it is always sswitching which side its on. During the day in the US, when we cant see the sun, it is night time in Asia, when you can see the sun and vise versa. The moon stays out all day at certain times of the lunar month in regions north of the Arctic Circle (and south of the Antarctic Circle), so in that case the answer is yes.
Please tell meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this project is due soon and i cant find an answer
The obvious answer is - because they will ignite !
