Solar cells are the only known feasible source of energy for space craft. They cant use combustion of fossil fuels as there is no oxygen in space and transporting extra oxygen would be costly. We haven't mastered fission reactors to the point of use in space nor have we mastered fusion or matter/antimatter. There is no wind, tides, water etc in outer space so we cant use those. However there is plenty of radiation from the sun so solar cells are the right choice.
Solar energy is produced by the sun's rays, which are converted into electricity through the use of photovoltaic cells or solar thermal systems. Photovoltaic cells directly convert sunlight into electricity, while solar thermal systems use sunlight to generate heat that can be used to produce electricity.
A solar calculator is powered by photovoltaic cells that convert light into electricity. When exposed to light, these cells generate a current that powers the calculator's functions.
Spacecraft use solar cells to generate electricity because coal combustion requires oxygen, which is limited in space. Solar cells can convert sunlight directly into electricity without the need for oxygen, making them a more practical and reliable choice for spacecraft power generation.
None of the Apollo spacecrafts has solar cells. All of them used fuel cells and chemical batteries to provide energy.
Solar energy is obtained through the use of solar panels which capture sunlight and convert it into electricity. These panels contain photovoltaic cells that absorb photons from the sun and generate a flow of electrons, creating an electrical current. This electrical current can then be used to power homes, buildings, and other devices.

Yes, solar panels can effectively generate electricity through glass. Glass allows sunlight to pass through and reach the solar cells, which then convert the sunlight into electricity.
Yes, they can be found in solar panels which obsord the sun for energy which can create both electricity and heat.
Solar energy does not use a turbine to generate electricity. Solar panels convert sunlight directly into electricity through photovoltaic cells, without the need for a turbine.
Sorry, leads do not generate electricity. Leads are just the wires that connect the parts of a circuit together.Generators, alternators, batteries, solar cells, fuel cells, friction electrostatic machines, and thunderstorms generate electricity.
solar power can generate electricity
One resource that doesn't use a turbine to generate electricity is solar power. Solar panels convert sunlight directly into electricity through photovoltaic cells without the need for a turbine.
Photovoltaic cells, also known as solar cells, are used to harness solar energy and convert it into electricity. These cells are made of semiconductor materials such as silicon, which can absorb sunlight and generate an electric current through the photovoltaic effect.
Solar cells do not run out of electrons because they rely on the continuous input of energy from the sun to generate electricity. When sunlight hits the solar cell, it generates an electric current by exciting the electrons in the material. As long as sunlight is available, the process continues, and the solar cell can continue to generate electricity.
Semiconductors are used in solar cells because they can convert sunlight into electricity. When sunlight hits the semiconductor material in a solar cell, it creates an electric current by releasing electrons. This process allows solar cells to harness renewable energy from the sun and generate electricity.
