After the war with the Titans (the Titanomachy) the three brothers, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, divided the realms between themselves by lot. Poseidon got the sea, Hades the underworld, Zeus the sky. It should be noted that the realm of Zeus included the the surface of the Earth. As man dwells on the surface of the Earth Zeus had a lot to do with them and consequently there are more legends about Zeus than the other two. And as there are sailor on the sea Poseidon has more legends than Hades does. Hades was not a neglected God however, he was given authority everything in the earth including all ores and stone so he had a lot of respect from miners and masons and the like.
Now to the really ancient Greeks the sky wasn't all that much of a realm. It was considered to be a dome that held the stars and rain water, not really a super great place to have, so the surface of the earth was thrown in as well to make Zeus's realm more equal to the other two.
Now Zeus was able to bully the other Olympians rather easily but with his two brothers he was more conciliatory. Zeus and Poseidon argued over the possession of a certain sea nymph and (with a little intervention from Prometheus) Zeus relented to let Poseidon have her. When Hades kidnapped (and possibly raped) Persephone, all the Olympians asked Zeus to rescue her but Zeus could do no better than to secure a poor compromise. "Unlike every other offspring of an Olympian pairing of deities, Persephone has no stable position at Olympus."
No, they were not friends. In fact, they were brothers. Zeus was the ruler of all the God's. He had the ultimate power. He had control over not only God's, but of the sky's. They were brothers, but enemies. Hades was jealous of Zeus's power. From what i know, Hades was always trying to be the upper power. But Zeus never let that happen.
Zeus and Hades are both Greek gods and brothers. They are both considered powerful deities in Greek mythology, with Zeus being the god of the sky and thunder while Hades is the god of the Underworld. Additionally, both gods are depicted as having dominion over aspects of the mortal world.
Hades' main rivals are Zeus, the king of the gods, and Poseidon, the god of the sea. They are part of the "Big Three" in Greek mythology who rule over the heavens, the sea, and the underworld. Hades is often at odds with his brothers due to their differing domains and conflicts over power.
Yes, they are. They began to rule over Olympus after Zeus decide he needed his brothers help to run the earth. They are the sons of Cronus they also have three sisters: Hera(godess of marriage and family),Demeter(godess of agriculture)and Hestia (godess of the hearth or fire )She was the chief of the goddesses and very popular. She has the power of fire like Hades but more awesomer and every time you use your grill your sacrificing stuff to the beloved Hestia
Zeus ruled over the sky and the rest of the gods He was considered king of the gods
When they defeated the titans, their parents, Zeus took over and both his brothers submitted to his rule.
he got control over the sea because him and his two brothers Zeus and hades drew lots that would determine what they ruled over.
Hades ruled the underworld. Poseidon ruled the sea.

He ruled on Mount Olympus over the heavens.
Briareus, one of the Hecatoncheires, helped Zeus during the Titanomachy because Zeus promised him freedom and a place of honor. After being imprisoned by Uranus, Briareus and his brothers were released by Zeus, who sought their immense strength to defeat the Titans. In gratitude for his liberation and the opportunity to fight against their common enemies, Briareus pledged his loyalty to Zeus. This alliance ultimately contributed to Zeus's victory and the establishment of his rule over the cosmos.
When he and his brothers (Zeus and Poseidon) were drawing lots to see who would rule where, Hades drew the Underworld and had to go there.
