Because it is essentially a vacuum (there isn't much there) so light does not have anything to refract or reflect light off of thereby giving a black void appearance.
Dr. Mae C. Jemison SHE WAS IN SPACE IN SEP 12,1992
There are 5 Space Shuttles. Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour look exactly the same except for their names. Columbia's tip of it's rear stabilizer and wings are black.
The first black person to travel to outer space was Guion Bluford, who flew on the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1983.
Guion S. Bluford Jr was the first American black Astronaut to go into space. See related links below for his bio and a list of other black Astronauts.
" Guion "Guy" Bluford became the first black person to go into space. He was on the Space Shuttle Challenger's STS 8 mission, launched on August 30, 1983. The first black woman was Mae Jemison. " Guion "Guy" Bluford was NOT the 1st Black Person in space, he WAS the 1st African-American. In 1980, the 1st Black person in space was Arnaldo Tamayo Mendez, a Cuban. no the first African American to go into space was guion bluford like the first person said
They are transparent, not black
it is black or dark
yes because when you look around you get scared because of all the black
Since space is mostly empty and so large it appers to be black. Even our plant system would look like 10 small dots from afar.
they look like worm holes but even bigger. they are in space
Yes your indeed correct
Space is not black, space is transparent.
because there is not enough light to brighten the who outer space :)) your welcome
The light looks like a huge cross in space! It's cool!
Space is black because there is nothing there for light to bounce off of. Since black is not a colour by itself, but an absence of colour, this is why space looks black.
When you look up at space through a telescope, if you can find a blankness in space -such as a white piece of paper with a black hole in the middle and nothing around it, that could be one. They also found them by what they are sucking in. Planets, superheated gasses, more.
the black hole is a matter in outer space that is made by the force of gravity
