The Aztec calendar is made up of two interlocking cycles, the 260-day Sacred Calendar and the 365-day Solar Calendar, creating a 52-year calendar round. This is different from our Gregorian calendar, which is a 365-day solar calendar with a leap year every four years. Additionally, the Aztec calendar was based on a combination of astronomical observations, religious beliefs, and mathematical calculations.
The solar angle refers to the angle between the sun and the horizon at a specific location. It is an important factor in determining the intensity of solar radiation received at that location, influencing factors such as heating and shading.
The Maya made an extremely accurate calender, and the Aztecs had a religion. Had 500 different cities and towns which is pretty huge for those times and also about 15 million people in their tribe they also had a solar calendar that had 18 monthes and 20 days and they had 5 extra days for celebrations.

The Julian Calender (which became the Christian Calender with only a few holidays retained) is a solar calender, based on earth's orbit of the sun. Previously the Romans used a lunar calender like the Chinese, based on the moon's orbit of the earth. The solar calender was more efficient, and Julius Caeser was a man who liked efficiency, so he pushed for adoption of the calender which bears his name.
The Chinese calender utilizes both the lunar and solar calenders. When the 'Chinese New Year' is discussed it is in reference to the lunar calender which is still used for traditional purposes. The western calender is now exclusively solar, which is accepted as a more reliable and accurate calender system.

Chinese calender was created according to the combination of solar calender and moon cycles rather than mysthology.

The Aztec calendar is 365 days without a leap day (Xiuh-Pohualli). Like the Maya, the 20-day constant of a 360-day calendar will create a cycle with their 13 days so that the days which cycle numbered 1 thru 13 will also have the 20 names meet with them every 260 days (Tonal-Pohualli, or ritual cycle).
One was for the ritual year and the other was for the solar year.
