When a bird fly too high from the surface of the earth it does not obstruct the light hence there is no formation of shadow on the earth.- Satish
If you see a bird but do not see a shadow on the ground, it is probably because of the angle the light is coming from. If you drew an imaginary line form the source of light, (probably the sun) through the bird, you would find the shadow of the bird where the line touched the ground. If there is no light, the bird cannot make a shadow.
The dark inner shadow where total eclipses can be seen on Earth is called the umbra. This is the central region of the Moon's shadow during a total solar eclipse, where the Sun is completely blocked out. Observers within the umbra experience the full effect of the eclipse, with the sky darkening and the Sun's corona becoming visible.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the earth passes between the sun and the moon. In other words, the moon is in the earth's shadow. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon comes between the earth and the sun. In other words, the earth is in the moon's shadow. The earth is much larger than the moon, so the moon's shadow is considerably smaller than the earth's. Total lunar eclipses are far more frequent and can be seen by everyone on earth with a view of the moon. A solar eclipse can only be seen by those within the narrow band of the moon's shadow.

when an object is closer to the light source, the larger and fuzzier is the shadow.also if the object is moved away from the screen, the shadow is fuzzier.therefore the bird which is close to sun and away from the ground casts a fuzzier shadow in the atmosphere which cannot be seen

The church says the earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church.
