The balloon is lighter than air.
A hot air balloon floats in the air because it is buoyant due to the hot air inside the balloon being lighter than the cooler air outside. It is not propelled by engines or wings like an airplane, so it is more accurate to say it floats rather than flies.
A hot air balloon does not depend on thrust like an airplane does. It rises due to the buoyancy of the hot air inside the envelope, which is lighter than the surrounding air. Drag does affect the balloon's movement and control, but it is not the primary force that allows it to float.
air is heavier than balloon, air rises
A balloon flies high because it is filled with a gas that is lighter than the air outside the balloon. This creates a buoyant force that causes the balloon to rise.
A hot-air balloon rises because the air inside the balloon is heated, causing it to expand and become less dense than the cooler air outside. According to Archimedes' principle, the buoyant force acting on the balloon is greater than the weight of the balloon, allowing it to ascend. As the air inside the balloon cools or the weight increases, the balloon descends.
Balloon is lighter than air.
No moving parts!
I guess they had a dream of a better way to get around than the bicycle. I am serious.
the airplane will fly farther. This is due to the fact that both the airplane and the hot air balloon use fuel. Also because the hot air balloon only means of movement is wind, While an airplane use jet propulsion. This allows the airplane to travel in any direction
they invented bikesThe Wright brothers DID NOT invent "the airplane" OR bikes !They built THEIR airplane (NOT the first airplane) in 1902.
Popping a balloon with a pin requires less force because the pin concentrates the pressure to a small area, piercing the balloon easily. Stepping on a balloon distributes your weight across a larger area, making it harder to apply enough force to pop the balloon.
The Wright Brothers were only one group of many who were trying to invent a powered airplane, and all of them were inspired by Otto Lilienthal, a German inventor who created gliders and flew on them. (Lilienthal also helped to invent the Fatal Airplane Crash, but that is a story for another time.) Lilienthal had to take off from a hill, had to fly only as the wind allowed him to and could only fly short distances. All the airplane inventors realized that if the airplane was to be a useful tool rather than a fun toy you had to be able to go when, where and as far as you wanted...and that meant putting an engine on it.
Density is inversely related to the flight of a hot air balloon. As the density of the air inside the balloon decreases, it becomes less dense than the surrounding air, causing the balloon to rise. This is because the buoyant force on the balloon is greater than its weight.
Ballons are made of an elastic plastic while a bottle in a harder plastic
Yes they also invented the modern sled. Their mom helped them on the modern sled, but it still counts.
The world's first successful airplane with a controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight on Dec 17, 1903.
the wright brothers were better than anyone because without them we wouldn't be flying in these big Boeing 737's
