Rand's three lovers are Min Farshaw; Elayne Trakand, and Aviendha. Aviendha is from the Aiel, and culturally, if two women both are in love with the same man, the become "sisters" and share him rather than destroy their friendship. Elayne has strongly attached herself to the Aiel culture and has accepted Aviendha's way of thinking. Min has something like visions, and has realized that this is simply what fate has intended.
