Tennis Shoes
Sneakers, tennis shoes or cross trainers.
Tennis shoes. I looked it up on google first xD
In Jamaica, sneakers are commonly referred to as "trainers" or "tennis shoes." The term "sneakers" may also be understood, but "trainers" is the more prevalent local term. This reflects the influence of British English on Jamaican language and culture.
A pair of trainers is the same as a pair of running shoes or sneakers. "Trainer" is the British expression for running shoe or sneaker.
No, not all trainers are converse shoes.

In America the word for "trainers" depends on what part of the country you're in. On the East coast, they are usually called "sneakers". In the west, "tennis shoes" is more common. Some people also call them "tennies".

tennis shoes
Yes they are. For a long time, the term, 'tennis shoe', was used as a generic term applied to any athletic shoe worn for casual purposes. Actual tennis shoes have several features designed for playing the sport. Many of them have tread that covers the toe area, because so many players will play while on their toes. On the sole, they have pivot points on the balls of the feet to protect from wear and tear in that area. Tennis shoes are also designed to prevent the foot from sliding around inside, since there is a lot of lateral, stop-and-go and change of direction movement. Shoes designed for clay courts are designed in such a way that they keep the clay out of the shoe and some have cleat-like knobs to limit sliding while playing on clay surfaces.
I don't think their are any 'button-up' tennis shoes. but there are defiantly Velcro tennis shoes.
