I was just offered an assistant-manager position at GameStop. It is May 23, 2009 as I write this and I asked for $11.50 because that is how much I was making previously as an assistant. It is not an unreasonable number either as many other ASMs that I know also make that much or more.

Well, Gamestop shot back with $9.50 an hour for a moderately trafficked store. This is a company that makes huge sums of not just revenue, but straight up profit off of their used games sector. The used games go straight into their pockets. They are doing quite well despite the "economic downturn," and yet they only offered me $9.50 an hour. So to answer your question, it would seem $9.50 an hour is what they pay their ASMs.
