A model manager operates in very much the same way a modeling agency does. He/she finds their model work, negotiates contracts and work conditions and also charges a commission for each gig booked. However, managers and agencies are different business-wise. Managers usually represent actors, singers and musicians, although they do represent models on occasion. A manager is just one person while a modeling agency is an established company with a number of staff/employees and models on their roster.
