8gb are cheaper but hold a lot less memory, a 16gb is a lot more expensive but holds so much stuff however i think you should get the 8Gb simply because people have been having a lot of problems with the 16GB iPod touches. I have a ipod touch 8GB and i haven't even used all my memory yet i have 3 GBs left and i said no way when i first got one i thought i would use all that up in like 5 minutes but look at me i haven't.
