Desktop
The portion of the screen that displays when windows XP is loaded is called the Desktop. It features icons for different programs, the Taskbar and the Start Button.
Find the small, rectangular, black power button, press it, and slide the arrow on the screen to the right to unlock your ipad.
Early models are not capable of movement but if you bought one later into development or updated your software to allow it, you may be able to do it. Hold down your finger anywhere on the main menu until the icons begin to shake. This is the rearrangment mode in which you may drag and drop any icons as well as interchange the icons in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
To restart any app on the iPad- Press the home button to go to the home screen. Swipe four finger up - icons will display at the bottom of the screen for current running apps. Hold finger on any of the icons until they start to shake. Press the - in the corner of the icon to stop the app. Press the home button again.

Keep your finger on the icon for 2-3 seconds. After that you will see that all icons will start to wobble. You can than delete icons.note: you can not delete icons that came with the iphone when it was bought

To rearrange the Home Screen hold a finger on one of the icons until they start shaking (about 3 seconds). Then drag and drop to rearrange. Once finished press the Home Button.
The taskbar is typically a horizontal strip located at the bottom of the screen on Windows operating systems, though it can also be placed at the sides or top. To move icons on a Nintendo DSi, start by tapping the icon you want to move and holding it down until it becomes highlighted. Then, drag the icon to your desired location on the screen.
