The iPad does have a Broadcom chip, which is capable of receiving and transmitting FM signals. This means that not only is the iPad capable of listening to FM radio, but it will be able to work like an iTrip, so you can listen to music in your car. It is important to note, however, that there is no software (app) for this yet, but Apple is currently developing an FM Radio app. The only question is: Will there be an app for transmitting FM?
