The main difference between Final Cut Pro and Final Cut Studio is that Final Cut Pro is a standalone video editing software, while Final Cut Studio is a suite of video editing tools that includes Final Cut Pro along with other applications like Motion and Compressor. For professional video editing needs, Final Cut Studio would be more suitable as it offers a wider range of tools and capabilities for advanced editing, effects, and post-production work.
