I will try to make this as simple as possible starting with the tools you will need.

Phillips Head screw driver or cordless drill

Pointy nose plyers and wire stripper

Soldering iron and solder

Something to test your wiring to see which one has power

Heat shielding or electrical tape

I think that's it!

The red wire is normally power and the black ground, the speakers are something you can work out by sound or looking at the speakers they are connected to.

The kenwood will come with a harness that plugs in the back of the steroe, the Ford harness will not fit the kenwood so you will have to cut the ford harness (not to short from the plug) and then solder the kenwood harness on to it.
