You can set up favorites through your receiver's main menu. Depending on your receiver model it will be on the main menu, or it will be in the preferences section (8). Once you select the option "Favorites" you can create up to 4 lists. Select one from the left and then you can click Edit Name, or Modify List. Modify List will allow you to add channels to that list which, when selected, will only show those specific channels you chose.

The charter Channel Guide lists a schedule for the Cooking Channel. It is channel 122 according to their channel lineup. We are supposedly signed up for the full package of all channels, but can't tune in to 122. I don't know what this means.
