well, i don't exactly know what happened to your mp3, next time be more specific but what usually fixes mine, is when i hold the power button for about 30 seconds. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Unless yours is completely broken that it doesn't even turn on, because mine turns on but freezes, or i just leave it until it turns off by itself.

umm..well.. i have a sansa e280 mmp3 player well..if ur asking if theres a reset button ON the mp3, no but if in the mp3 player yes just go to settings and the go to reset =] hope tht helped
