How do you hack an iPod classic?

You hold down the power button and the volume down button for about 10 seconds. the screen should turn black. than hold down all the buttons for about five seconds. when you see white words on the screen, release all the buttons. then a yellow screen should pop up. to scroll down click the volume up button. to scroll up click the volume down button. to select click the power on button. when done, go to the top of the menu and it should say standby. click the power button. the screen should go black. then click the power button again and a apple should pop up and it will go to the main screen. enjoy!

Steps to acess apple's encrypted iPod internal firm ware to change settings such as but not limited to; color settings,fonts,imagery,music database storage and software addition.

1) Power on your iPod by releasing your hold switch

2) Reset your iPod by holding the center button of the clickwheel and the menu button at the same time for a period of five seconds or until your iPod screen resets

3) As your iPod screen turns black you must then hold the center button and the left or (fast reverse) button at the same time

4) You will then see a menu of unfamiliar font listing items as reference in the title; color settings,fonts,imagery,etc.etc

5)You can then alter just about any internal electronic hardware installed by apple. I am not and shall not be held responsible for anything that may but will probably not go wrong with your iPod unit.

6) If you are experiencing problems while acessing the internal software immediately connect your iPod to your computer

there are other computer programs available that can be used to acess other options of your iPod, but i have listed a cheap and quick way to do this yourself

Just like the 2nd & 3rd Gen Nano, the 6th Gen Classic has encrypted firmware, and will most likely never be hackable
