To lock your iPod touch in portrait mode, swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open the Control Center. Look for the orientation lock icon, which resembles a lock with a circular arrow around it. Tap this icon to enable orientation lock; it will turn red when activated. This keeps your device locked in portrait mode, preventing it from rotating to landscape.

There was an update for the ipod touch about 7 months ago and it allowed you to change the background on your ipod and you can also change the lock screen
Go to main menu, push main menu, settings, phone lock, put in ur combo, and push change combination.
It allows you to lock your screen in portrait mode (sideways) so that you can do something such as text in bed lying down and it won't turn your screen depending on how you lay. Hope this helps!!
Ok first of all the enV touch and Voyager 2 are different phones. And yes you can lock the touch screen.
This is not a known problem with iPod Touches. There has to be something that you may doing, because an iPod will not pause itself. When playing a song, put the iPod Touch on lock so nothing can touch it.
First you press home button. Then go to settings. After that scroll down to lock phone. After that you make a lock code and when you are done put lock now. But if not and it asks you for the lock number when you first get the phone there is a 50% chance of the lock number to be the last 4 digits of the cel phone number! Thank you i hope this was very help full =)
