How do you set your dish remote control to work on a Sanyo tv?

If you do not have the remote code that is required to program your remote to work with your Sanyo, then you can perform a power scan. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button (In this case the mode button will be "TV") until all the other mode button backlights illuminate, then release.

1. Press and release the Power button.

2. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment.

Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.

3. Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.

After completing the power scan to program the DISH Network remote to your T.V the remote should now work to control your TV.

Your TV brand has codes that correspond to that model. We use one of these codes to operate your TV. Without knowing your TV brand, I'm not able to provide the codes but I can provide you the instructions for programming the remote to your tV.

To program you Dish Satellite remote to your TV you need to find your remote code to your TV.

To do this, you will need to do a Dish TV power scan.

• First make sure your TV is powered on
• Then hold down the 'TV' button at the top of your dish remote (button will light up red) until all 4 buttons at the top light up
• Press the large red power button at the top of your Dish remote
• Press the channel up (above the select button on most Dish remotes) slowly until the TV powers off to a black or blue screen
• Once the TV turns off, press the pound key '#' located at the bottom of your Dish TV remote

To program a remote to a DVD player, all you would need is the code, and the steps. In order to provide a code, we would need the model of DVD player. The related link will allow you to lookup the codes. The steps to program the remote are below!

Addressing Remote to DVD:

1.) Press and hold the clear AUX button until all mode lights light up.

2.) Release and AUX light will be blinking.

3.) Press 1 for a VCR/DVD and enter the code. (if DVD code is 617, enter 1617)

4.) Press pound (#)

5.) Try functions (Power, Play, etc..) and see if it is working.

6.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

First, press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up, then release and TV light will be blinking. Enter the code for that TV model and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times. After that, try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if it is working. If there is no function, then repeat steps 1-4 with another code.
