The Sky Plus range of receivers are designed to record and play back content from the Sky satellite platform. They are not designed to allow the transfer of content to any other device. In fact, the designs go to some length to ensure that content can't be moved to other devices. Specifically, storage is encrypted to prevent the data being copied from the hard disc and the HD output on the HDMI port is similarly encrypted (Using HDCP encryption) and can be decoded only by compatible displays.
The only legitimate way to transfer content to another storage device is to use the analogue video output. Although this is not protected or encoded, it also isn't HD. The analogue outputs are strictly standard definition but they can be loaded on to a PC using a suitable analog video capture card.
