How many types of ipods are there and what are they?

nano, shuffle, classic, and touch.

Nano is very slim. The new iPod nano. Now sporting a video camera, a polished anodized aluminum finish, and a larger screen. Also making its debut: FM radio with Live Pause. This is my personal favorite out of all of the iPods.

Shuffle is tiny and fits in the palm of you hand no matter how small you hands are. With the new voice over that tells you the name and artist of the song you're listening to, the new shuffle is the first iPod to speak to you. Although tiny, the shuffle is still able to hold just as much as other iPods (2gb and 4gb are available at apple.com starting at just $59)

Classic is has the most GB availability. which also makes it one of the larger iPods. With 160 GB the classic holds up to 40, 000 songs or whatever else you need it to hold. It also only comes in silver or black unlike the nano and shuffle which come in several colors.

Touch is basically a mini computer. It has built in wifi, allows you to download apps, play games, and holds up to 64 GB worth of music. Ive only seen it in silver.

Well there are: the iPod classic 1st gen this is black and white a rubbish the 2nd gen ( classic) colour display is ok and better than 1st gen . The 3rd and 4th gen I'm not to sure about but the 5th gen Is a video thing oh yeah the 3 rd and 4th gens are more / less space. iPod shuffle small holds about 250 - 400 songs iPod shuffle 2 nd gen small looks a bit like nano chromatic but can " talk to you". The iPod nano 1st gen chunky don't like it iPod nano 2 nd gen square shaped and nice to hold first iPod to have cover flow good for vids I think iPod nano Chromatic nice rounded back but not too nice as it's too thin iPod touch 1st gen comes in 8, 16 or 32 gigabites no internal speakers. Chunky too iPod touch 2nd gen nice same as 1 st only it has tinny internal speakers and a back like the nano chromatic iPhone cool basiclly an iPod a phone a camera and a touch screen all stuck together to sell for £300 or so comes in 8, 16 or 32 gig internal speakers and built in mic. the iPhone 3 g Is the newest iPhone and is on PAYG or contract this gives you 3g internet connection anywhere even if there is no wi- fi nearby this is useful chunky but comes In more than one colour *. There is the ipod shuffle, nano, and video. Unfortunately, there are no longer any normal ipods or minis made.

I am not sure if these count, but the iphone and ipod touch (3 generations--unsure) are also available.
