As for total RAM, the latest iPod Touch 4G has 256MB, whereas the previous models have less. I doubt there is separate video ram but it is a small amou8nt if any. I'd guess it just uses a small portion of the flash RAM. That is probably part of the reason the actual capacity is less than stated because some is probably allotted for graphics and the like.
I'm just guessing here but that's what I'd go with
You cannot upgrade the RAM on your iPod Touch. The RAM on your iPod Touch is permanent, and if you want it faster, you must buy the newest generation of the iPod Touch.
Because of its larger screen and faster video, the iPad is much better for reading PDFs. The RAM of the devices is the same.
I believe it has 512 Mb of RAM
It depends if you have an iPod Touch 2g. If you do, then you may want to reconsider as the only known thing is an upgraded processor and more RAM. It is rumored that the new iPod Touch 3g contains a 802.11n chip, but that is to be seen.If you have a 1g iPod Touch, then you should at least upgrade to a 8 gigabyte 2g model. There is a huge improvement.
In terms of system specifications (processor speed, RAM etc) the iPhone 3GS is better than the 1st & 2nd generations of iPod Touches. However the iPod Touch 3rd generation includes exactly the same internal components (processor, graphics processing & RAM) as the iPhone 3GS. It also includes the iPhone 3GS' Voice Control functionality.
2 gigabytes of RAM is what you should get for a Touch screen laptop. If you only find 1 gigabyte, you can upgrade it with a 1 gigabyte RAM chip.
If we are talking on display size alone, the Nexus 7 is considerably bigger...7.02 inches with the Nexus 7 2013 version vs. 4 inches on the iPod Touch. Most of the Nexus 7's specs (both the 2012 and 2013 editions) are much better thn the iPod Touch, having faster processors, more RAM memory, aformentioned larger display. The exception is storage. The Nexus 7's maximum storage size is 32 gb, while the iPod Touch has 32 and 64 gb available.
Yes. The 3rd generation iPod Touch features an upgraded processor, graphics processing and increased RAM from 128mb to 256MB. These internal components are the same as the ones found in the iPhone 3GS and should give a significant performance boost to the iPod Touch 3G.
Depending on the RAM, between $20 and $60 used.
You should purchase as much RAM as your system can support.
Nope. Only 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd gen. get all the features. iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd gen. get a lot, but not some, such as multitasking, because the hardware is not suited for the "massive" RAM
I reall don't think it will work on 2g because of ram and hardware. You know 128 mb of ram won't be enough for gta 3.
