Audacity and Mixcraft serve different purposes and audiences, making them suitable for different users. Audacity is a free, open-source audio editing software that is great for basic recording and editing tasks, while Mixcraft offers a more comprehensive digital audio workstation (DAW) experience with advanced features like MIDI support and built-in virtual instruments. If you're looking for a straightforward editing tool, Audacity is excellent; however, for more complex music production, Mixcraft may be the better choice. Ultimately, the "better" option depends on your specific needs and preferences.
Depending on your remixing needs, you may need different kinds of programs. Personally, I use Acoustica Mixcraft and Audacity to do my mixing. Using Audacity, you can record Mixcraft's output and export it as an MP3 without buying a license.
try using doing this. go inot your mixcraft program and open ur song of choice then go: File> Mix Down To> MP3. Then it will just get you to save your new mp3 file to wherever u want. Pretty simple eh? If that doesn't work though, try doing what said person below was explaining, although i, myself, found that a little confusing. Good luck! I had same problem with mixcraft 4. Go to google.com and type in audacity and download audacity. There are not any viruses. Install the software and go to mixcraft. go to >file>preferences>general. And then you can see at the bottom "external wave editor" Click browse. Find the audacity.exe. Next right click on your sound or music in mixcraft 4 and then click on edit in external editor. Then it will open audacity. Click on the file in audacity and click on export as mp3, wma or wav. It does not work with virtual instruments.
Yes. Mixcraft is safe.

You don't. Mixcraft is not free.
I would recommend AUDACITY. You can get it from sourceforg and type in audacity. You download the project and you are good to go.
Bond's brazen audacity gained his admittance to the gala in fine form.
You need to save your file as AIFF from garageband to be able to open it in Mixcraft. Mixcraft cannot open native garageband files.
Mixcraft 5 is a GREAT program. i use it all the time. and the best part: it's absolutely FREE. Have fun! Here's a link http://www.acoustica.com/mixcraft/download.htm

Mixcraft has more editing capability, but does not have the ease of use or quality virtual instruments that Garageband does. In addition, Mixcraft is only for Windows, and Garageband is only for Mac.
