"Sometimes working under stress and deadlines can describe the life of a book editor, so procrastination is not acceptable. Great books do not come around every week, so editors are bound to be reading some bad books now and again, which is definitely a con. When reading a book that does not fit my interest, it can be very hard to finish the book. A final con would be the hours. I would hate to work really late hours, especially if they are on the weekend. A pro to being an editor would be the feeling of completion after finishing an excellent book. It is really a great feeling. Pride is also great. Getting the privilege to publish the next Harry Potter, or the next Alice in Wonderland, that would definitely give me pride. A final pro would be using my literary knowledge and be able to someday write books on my own, and keep my thirst for books quenched."
