First, it would cause a lot of sparks, since the fire would short circuit the iPod's inner circuitry and cause many sparks, most likely setting fire to what's around it. Then, a pretty big explosion might follow after the sparking since the fire would explode when it reacts to the battery acid in the iPod's battery. This would blow the iPod apart into many pieces, setting fire to all that is around it, and most likely within a 10 foot or greater radius.
