Don't think twice, get Beats. my friend in my old school had turtle beaches and here is what i didnt like about them
1. the most expensive pair are 300$ and he had those
2. you can't disconnect the chord, and it is long
3. you can't directly plug them into iPod or mp3 player, you need an adapter
4. they are cheaply built with heavy bulking plastic
5. after about 65-70% volume, it starts to get scratchy
my brother, who is really into music got beats pro by dre and here are the advantages
1. much better sound quality and at 100% volume there is no scrathes
2. professionally built with lightweight aluminum '
3. they have dual chord outlets
4. you can directly plug them into any ipod or mp3 player
5. you can disconnect the chrods
6. they can be folded to be more portable
