The code in the Comcast sheet that came with the remote is 10180. It does not work. Craig says tha 16222,10073,10180 and 11822 might work. They did not. I found the code 11823 will allow the power button to work but not the volume and mute button. Bill
To change the source input on your AVOL TV without a functioning select button, try using the channel or volume buttons to navigate the input menu. If your remote has a dedicated "Input" or "Source" button, press that to cycle through the inputs. If those options don’t work, consider using the physical buttons on the TV itself, which may allow you to switch inputs directly. If all else fails, you might need to replace the remote or use a universal remote compatible with your TV.
Check the remote CLOSELY, I have found a button stuck down on the remote. put in new batteries, then push the INPUT button a few times.
Pull up the flap on the console and press sync (the red button). If that doesn't work, take the back off the remote where the batteries are and press the sync button there at the same time as the console button.
There are two ways to get turn off the volume with a DISH remote. The remote would need to be addressed to the TV itself. You can press the 'Mute' button which is generally on the top left hand side of the remote, and you can press the volume down button to make it quieter.
Oh, dude, getting that remote to work is like trying to solve a Rubik's cube blindfolded. First, make sure you've got fresh batteries in there. Then, point it at the TV, press the power button, and hope for the best. If all else fails, just use the old-fashioned way and get up to change the channel.
