The answer to this riddle is "meher" - the mandatory gift or payment in marriage. In the absence of meher, Janazah (funeral prayer) is not valid as it is a religious obligation to fulfill the right of meher to the wife. Conversely, in the presence of meher, the marriage contract (nikaah) is not possible as it is a necessary component for the marriage to be considered valid in Islam.

Muslims pray on a rug made especially for that purpose. but it's not obligatory to pray on a rug you can also pray on the floor or even on concrete out on the street. you can almost pray anywhere with the exception of a few places like the restroom or in the graveyard ( the only prayer allowed in the graveyard is salat-al-janazah which is a prayer offered when someone dies before burying them )
