The Helpers
this is a shopping list. It says: black pudding, liver sausage, calf's feet or a small calf's head. Hermann van Pels wrote it for Miep Gies. But of course, apart from meat, the eight people in hiding need a lot more help.
Miep Gies is one of the helpers of the eight people who are in hiding in the Secret Annex. The other helpers are Johannes Kleiman, Victor Kugler and Bep Voskuijl. Bep Voskuijl's father has also helped the people in hiding. He made the movable bookcase which hides the entrance to the Secret Annex.
It is important for those living in the secret annex to be quiet all the time to avoid detection by the Nazis or neighbors. Making noise could put their hiding place at risk, endangering their lives and chances of survival. Maintaining silence is crucial for their safety and the success of their hiding.
American robins have many features to survive like their beaks to eat and wings to fly. They survive using those features just like humans survive.
The "Secret Annexe" was a group of three rooms and a bathroom on the upper back floors of the building Mr. Frank ran his business from. That was where those in hiding spent two years and one month until arrested by the Gestapo.
In those humps they store fat, not water. The fat becomes an energy source for the camel.
The Secret Annexe stayed hidden because it was placed behind a swinging cupboard, this cupboard could only be opened by those who new it could open. It was also hidden by the Gies family, who owned the warehouse that the Secret Annexe was inside of.
The first wishes for those in the secret annex when they are able to leave would likely include safety, freedom, and a return to normalcy. They may wish for a world without persecution, where they can live openly and without fear of being discovered. They may also wish for the opportunity to rebuild their lives and reconnect with loved ones outside of hiding.
Give me an example of requirements for a secret marriage?
Nothing can survive where there is no food, water, and shelter. So those are also places where birds can't survive.
The secret to boys is just as mysterious as the secret to girls. Man (and woman) have been pondering those questions for centuries ... :-) !!
Natural selection helps a few species survive by favoring those with advantageous traits that increase their likelihood of survival and reproduction in their environment. Over time, these advantageous traits are passed down to future generations, leading to the continuation of those species while others may become extinct.
Towards the end of the diary, Anne often uses words like "oppressive," "tense," and "claustrophobic" to describe the atmosphere in the Annex. She conveys a sense of confinement and anxiety as the situation becomes more unbearable for those living in hiding.
Those are secret bases. Just like those big trees. You need Secret Power to activate it though.
