He never divorced Catherine. Divorce, at that time, literally took an Act of Parliament and was outrageously expensive. He maintained separate establishments until Catherine died. She, BTW, never stopped hoping CD would come back to her and according to legent, was asking for him as she died.

Charles Dickens had seven siblings, for a total of eight children in his family.
In April of 1837, Dickens married Catherine Hogarth. The following year, the first of their ten children was born. In June of 1858, they legally separated and Dickens moved to Gads Hill, a home he had loved since childhood. It's conjectured that Dickens was dissatisfied with having to support so many children (many of them spendthrifts and spongers, like his parents) and he implied that Catherine never had been his intellectual equal. He was also impatient with Catherine's lack of energy and general malaise; after 10 children, she can hardly be blamed. Catherine mourned the marriage for the rest of her life, a full 20 years after the separation.
Charles Dickens married Catherine Hogarth on April 2, 1836. They separated twenty-two years later, in 1858, although they remained legally married until Dickens' death in 1870.
If indeed some of Charles Dickens' children didn't like him, it was probably because he left his wife Catherine for another woman, Nelly Ternan. The separation was quite public and certainly humiliating for Catherine, although Nelly's existence wasn't proved for many years. Some historians believe they had a child together, but this has not been confirmed. Dickens was somehow able to support Nelly and her mother in secret until his death. She later married. Claire Tomalin has written an excellent book about the relationship, "The Invisible Woman: The Story of Nelly Ternan and Charles Dickens."
As Charles Dickens lived from 1812 to 1870, none of his children are alive today. He does have many living descendants though, an example being his great, great grandson Gerald Charles Dickens (b. 1963) who is an actor.

Charles Darwin had ten children: two died in infancy, and Annie's death at the age of ten had a devastating effect on her parents. Charles was a devoted father and uncommonly attentive to his children. Whenever they fell ill he feared that they might have inherited weaknesses from inbreeding due to the close family ties he shared with his wife and cousin, Emma Wedgewood. Despite his fears, most of the surviving children went on to have distinguished careers as notable members of the prominent Darwin-Wedgewood Family. Of his surviving children, George, Francis and Horace became Fellows of the Royal Society. His son Leonard however followed a different career becoming a soldier.
