Hannah was born in Berlin, Germany, but at age 4 she moved to Holland where she met Anne Frank.
The boy Anne Frank met at her friend Eva's home was Peter van Pels. He later became a significant figure in her life during their time in hiding from the Nazis. Anne and Peter developed a close relationship, which she documented in her diary.
Anne Frank and Peter Van Daan met in the attic of the Secret Annex where they were hiding from the Nazis during World War II. They would often spend time there in the evenings talking and sharing their thoughts and feelings with each other.
Anne Boleyn
Miep Gies was working for Otto Frank's company. She first met Anne Frank along with her mother and other sister Margot Frank. She helped Otto Frank and his family, along with the Van Pels and Mr. Pfeffer.
Anne met a boy named Gilbert Blythe at her friend Diana Barry's house. Gilbert is a classmate of Anne's at the local school, and they often have a complicated and competitive relationship.
Anne Frank was known to be energetic by maintaining a positive attitude and finding joy in small things despite living in hiding during World War II. She kept a diary that captured her enthusiasm for life and her determination to remain hopeful in difficult circumstances. Anne's curiosity, creativity, and resilience also contributed to her energetic spirit.
Anne Boleyn never met Francis Drake, he was not even alive when Anne was executed.
Otto Frank married Edith Holländer in 1925 and they had two children together, Margot and Anne. Edith died from starvation in 1945. Otto Frank did remarry in 1953 to a woman named Elfriede Geiringer who he met at Auschwitz.
Edith Frank and Auguste Van Daan (real name Van Pels) met occasionally before the war, either through their husbands or at the Frank's appartment for afternoon coffee. During the period in hiding Edith and Auguste didn't get on to well. Auguste poked fun at Edith's child rearing methods. Edith was quiet and reserved, whereas Auguste was loud and entertaining. It has been said that Edith would have rather had the Goslar family hide with them instead of the Van Daans/Pels but this was unsuitable due to the heavily pregnant Mrs. Goslar and her young child. It is a shame that Edith and Auguste didn't become friends as they both had similar backgrounds and both, no doubt, had similar feelings during hiding. If they had put their differences aside they could have provided comfort to each other.
