Otto and Edith Frank lived very well off in Germany, but when they left to go to Holland their finances suffered somewhat. Otto's business in Holland did well in the years that they were there, and as far as i know they had sufficient amounts of money to pay for food and other things needed until they were captured. Edith even had her own personal funds.

No. Anne Frank wasn't poor, nor were her family. Her father, Otto, owned a business called Opekta and had a lot of money. If Anne Frank was poor, there wouldn't be so many photographs of her. Owning a camera is considered to be very expensive back in Anne's time and her family had a camera because they had enough money.

Yes, she was. The Great Depression lasted from 1929-1939 and Anne Frank was born on June 12th, 1929, just before the Depression started. The depression was even partially a reason for the war. Her father's business, which stumbled along fairly well as it was, would have thrived in a healthier economic climate.

I think in Germany he was quetly rich, and when he moved to Netherland he worked in Stock company, so im sure he wasnt poor ...

when the war began he had "wonderful helpers"(anne frank wrote that) that helped him .

Otto frank survived Auschwitz and died in 1980 .

i think he lived way by that time he lived.
