The illustrations in Roald Dahl's books were done by various artists, with Quentin Blake being the most famous and frequent illustrator. Blake's distinctive style brought Dahl's stories to life, and their partnership is celebrated in numerous beloved children's books.
Of course not. He has done amazing things for the game of hockey.
Roald Dahl's father lost his arm when he was 14. He was on a ladder retiling the roof when he slipped and fell. He fractured his arm below the elbow but when he called a doctor, the doctor was drunk and thought the fractured arm was a dislocated shoulder. The drunk doctor called some men of the street to push the 'shoulder' back into place. The men held Dahl's father's waist whilst the doctor pulled. His mother was watching and stopped the men and the doctor a second after it happened, but the damaged was done. Dahl's father had no choice other than to amputate his arm.
