One of Anne Frank's most vivid memories was getting her diary. Apparrently she named it "Kitty". Another one was going into hiding. another was when she was found and captured by the Nazis in holland. Two events in her life was most significant while hiding in the "Secret Annex". A classic example of a flashbulb memory is the vivid recollection many people have of the events surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. Individuals often remember where they were, who they were with, and their immediate emotional reactions when they first heard the news. This type of memory is characterized by its clarity and detail, illustrating how significant and shocking events can create lasting impressions in our minds.

Yes; through them history is remembered, events and places recalled to memory.
Autobiographical memory tends to become more selective and focused on specific significant events as people age. Older adults may experience more difficulty recalling recent events but tend to have strong memories from early adulthood and adolescence. Overall, older adults may rely more on well-rehearsed narratives to structure and recall autobiographical memories.

Yes; especially activities such as conversation about recent events, crossword puzzles and sudoku. Exercise and nutrition are helpful, as well.
When they are very young children can remember early things. Obviously babies can remember the significant people in their life. As for events, they will remember them when they are very young, but as they get older their earliest memories will change. Events that tend to stick are usually somewhere between 3 and 4 years old, and most adults have their earliest memories in that time period. So as the child would be less that 2 for most of 2005 and 2 by the end of it, there is very little chance of memories from 2005 lasting in their minds as they grow older.
