I don't have real-time information on Christopher Paolini's book signing schedule. It's best to check his official website or social media profiles for the most up-to-date information on his upcoming signings.
On randombuzzers.com, a few months ago or so, Christopher Paolini was answering his fans' questions, and one of them was when he will finish his next book. His response was that he was not finished, but was kinda' close, as, when he was writing the third book, he found that it was going to be too long, so he ommitted some so that he could fit it into the fourth book.
You can check Stephenie Meyer's official website for dates and events related to book signing.

His first book is 'Eragon'. He started writing it when he graduated at 15 (he was homeschooled). He went to some schools to promove it, and it reached a couple of libraries in 2002. In 2003 some important guy discovered the book. It was then made another version of it (the story is the same) and released in the whole country, than world wide when it became a huge sucess. Christopher was 19 at the time.
His 'abiding love of fantasy' inspired his first book, and the fact that he lives in paradise valley in the USA with a view of the beartooth mountains (or something) gave him the scenery for Algaesia.
