When I was young I absolutely adored the Enid Blyton books of The Famous Five and The Secret Seven. My favourite Enid Blyton books were the 'Mystery' series, which feature 5 kids and a dog trying to solve local mysteries before the village policeman. To get a list of all Enid Blyton books go to www.enidblyton.net. As a postscript, I know some people believe Enid Blyton to be a bit politically incorrect these days but I adored these books when I was a child and must have read them about 100 times each. Any political incorrectness is very very mild and to most children, it goes over their heads. I think sometimes we forget about childhood innocence and project our own fears onto them. Anyhoo!!
