I'd put the poor thing down. It seems like the only humane thing to do.
I hope that this answer is a joke. You should never put an animal down just because it is blind or deaf. I have a deaf cat that stays inside and lives a happy, normal life. Animals should only be put down as an absolute last resort if it is suffering.
Thank God you weren't one of Helen Keller's parents...animals adapt more than humans to most handicaps and can live a long and happy life without all senses or limbs. There is a blind cat sanctuary in North Carolina with loads of videos showing a room full of blind (and some blind and deaf) cats playing, climbing cat trees, chasing toys and each other. Their other senses are razor sharp. There are cats and dogs with only two limbs that get on quite well, even jumping up on couches and tables. My friend adopted a golden retriever that was paralyzed from the waist down. She had a leather butt pad made for him until he was big enough to get a cart and he scooted around quite well with it and could even climb into her truck. There's no need to put an animal down for any reason other than suffering. It's just that so many humans can't be bothered with a specials needs animal.
Deaf is to post as blind is to read.

Helen Keller was the only person in her immediate family who was both blind and deaf. Her parents, Kate and Arthur Keller, and her two siblings were not blind or deaf.
