According to Sills' autobiography, "Beverly," (p.2), the doctor who delivered her saw a bubble in her mouth as she came out of the womb, so he nicknamed her "Bubbles," which stuck, and most of Sills' friends called her that. However, she says in the book that her immediate family called her "Bubbly."
