They fought the Germans living in the area of Eastern Poland and Hungry. Many Germans lived in present day Germany and remained where they were. Other groups of Germans went to areas where the Roman Empire was falling apart. One group went to Albania. The Lombards went to Italy. The Anglo Saxons went to England. One group went to North Africa. And the Franks went to France.
