According to what he wrote in his Preface, Lewis simply invented the name, intending it to sound nasty. He says that words like "Scrooge", "thumbscrew", "tapeworm" and "red tape" may have contributed to it's invention.

if you are asking the name of the patient, you wont get one. the patient does not have a name, he is merely called "the patient" or "the human" all throughout the book. but if not, he is the one being tempted by the deomons and is talked about all throughout the book. he is the christian they are trying to tempt and distract him from Godly living. hope this helps
