To be told that would be like reading the last chapter of the book first. Mysteries have suspense, intrigue and a sense of wonder about them, knowing the answer of who or why would cheat both the writer and the reader. Read the book and see if you can guess "who-dun-it"?

Judge Wargrave was the murderer in And Then There Were None. He always had a sadistic desire to kill those who were guilty of their crimes. In the novel, he discovers he has an incurable illness and decides to concoct a plan to fufill his dark desire for justice. He kills the characters according to the increasing severity of the crime. Lombard is one of the last to die (in the book not the play) because he has one of the highest body counts, he is responsible for the death of the African tribe in comparison to Ms Rogers who was merely an accomplice in her husband's murder and thus is killed earlier on. At the end Wargrave kills himself because he doesn't want to be caught, according to his own system of justice he must also die because of the murders he himself as comitted and because he wants to get away with the perfect crime with the police admiring his work and intelligence.
