No no no, Murtagh got the sword Zar'roc from Eragon because it was Murtagh's father, Morzons, sword from the battles during the, "Riders fall", and that's why he got the sword even though he told Eragon that they are brothers and have the same parents. For the Eldest part, i think its called eldest because Oromis and Glaedr are a old,wise, and intellagent dragon and rider and taught Eragon the ways of being a dragon rider.

well actually in any of the books it doesn't exactly show where it is... all christopher is made up names from the "ancient language" for every place they go. I believe that it was set during the medieval times on a faraway country so far away that the rest of the world couldn't access it then with rain and erosion its gone to this day... lol I'm kidding...but if it were probably around 14th century medieval ... no one can really tell you where except the writer himself
